As part of its core mission to not only fund groundbreaking research, but to translate research findings into practical, real-world applications, the National Center for Responsible Gaming has embarked on a new program aimed at young people.
The key component of the program is the “Talking with Children about Gambling” brochure, a research-based guide designed to help parents, as well as others who work with youth, deter children from gambling and recognize possible warning signs of problem gambling and other risky behaviors.
The guide was developed in consultation with the Division on Addictions at Cambridge Health Alliance, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School.
From this site, you can access, free of charge, a copy of the “Talking with Children about Gambling,” as well as additional information and resources about youth and gambling. You can also order copies of the brochure or feature the resource on your Web site.
