In 2007, the American Gaming Association (AGA) and the NCRG celebrated the 10th annual Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW), held August 6-10. The theme of last year’s campaign, “Responsible Gaming: In Your Own Words,” sought to expand both the level of employee participation in Responsible Gaming Education Week and augment a culture in which employees and AGA members think about responsible gaming education throughout the year.
"Responsible Gaming: In Your Own Words" engaged employees at all levels in not only the celebration of RGEW, but the creation of the campaign. As part of this effort, the AGA sponsored a poster and essay contest for gaming employees across the country. The winning essays were published in the book In Their Own Words: Voices of Responsible Gaming, and the winning poster designs will be part of the Responsible Gaming Poster series, with one design serving as the graphic centerpiece for last year's RGEW materials.
For more information on this year’s upcoming RGEW, to be held August 4-8, 2008, contact Brian Lehman, AGA communications manager, at 202-552-2680 or via e-mail at blehman@americangaming.org.
